A former middle school English teacher, I completed my BA at UC Berkeley, my M.Ed. at UCLA, and my MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I've worked as a tutor, an adjunct professor at a university where I taught Creative Writing, and was Managing Editor for Black Mountain Institute's award-winning literary magazine, Witness. I'm currently a memoir reader for Split Lip magazine, and a mentor with Write Girl.
