Past Students Say:

"Beyond fun! This class really gave me some great ideas on how to engage with pop culture in a more meaningful way and reinforced that my love of pop culture/music is not frivolous. I left with some ideas I'm really excited about and am grateful for the additional resources provided. Highly recommend Christina and would take other classes she offered."

"This class was super fun, with a focus on beautiful art (musical and literary). My creativity was sparked in ways I hadn't expected. Thank you for such a generative experience!"

"Christina Berke was a great instructor. She was warm and welcoming and the subject matter was fascinating."

"This class was incredible! Normally I'm a little hesitant to participate in groups like this, but Christina is such a warm presence that I felt excited to share my thoughts in class. The material was also really fun, and it evoked a lot of new writing ideas for me."

"Christina Berke's Write Like a Pop Star class takes pop music seriously, which is also to say that it takes "women's interests" seriously. This course helped me explore all facets of pop music and how it intersects with my point of view as a writer."
